Saints Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church · Boise, Idaho

The Faith
of the Apostles
in the Heart of Boise

An ancient faith, a warm parish family, and a door that is open to everyone — in the heart of Boise since 1951.

Christ is in our midst.

A Greek Orthodox parish of the Metropolis of Denver, founded in 1951 by the Greek families of southwestern Idaho.

Whether you were raised Orthodox, are exploring the ancient Christian faith for the first time, or are simply passing through Boise, we would love to welcome you. Our services are in English with some Greek, and everyone is invited to join us for worship and fellowship.

Worship with us

Sundays: Orthros 8:45 am · Divine Liturgy 10:00 am
Saturdays: Great Vespers 5:00 pm

Orthodox worship is the heart of our life together: ancient, beautiful, and open to all. Feast-day liturgies, confession hours, and our weekly Bible class are posted on the parish calendar, and a fellowship hour follows every Sunday Liturgy.

Divine Liturgy

The central act of Orthodox worship, celebrated every Sunday and on feast days. Through the readings, hymns, and prayers of the Liturgy we offer thanksgiving to God and receive Holy Communion.

Orthros (Matins)

The morning service of psalms and hymns that precedes the Divine Liturgy. Arriving during Orthros is a beautiful, unhurried way to enter into Sunday worship.

Great Vespers

The evening prayer of the Church, sung on Saturday evenings and on the eve of feasts. Vespers is short, contemplative, and a wonderful first service for visitors.

Feast Days, Confession & Bible Class

Feast-day services usually begin with Orthros at 9:00 am and Liturgy at 10:00 am. Confession is offered on Thursday afternoons and Saturday afternoons before Vespers, and Orthodox Bible Class meets Tuesday evenings. See the calendar for exact times.

Our Patron Saints

Constantine & Helen,
Equal to the Apostles

Our parish bears the names of the emperor who ended the persecution of Christians and convened the First Ecumenical Council, and of his mother, who journeyed to Jerusalem and found the Precious and Life-Giving Cross. Together they are honored as God-crowned sovereigns and shining examples of faith placed in service to God and His people.
